Winter in Glen Nevis
Glen Nevis is a wonderfully peaceful place in the Winter. The mountains look all the more dramatic with a covering of snow and there are so few people about it will often feel like you have the place to yourself!
Christmas & New Year
Celebrate Christmas and bring in the New Year in Glen Nevis! Our 4* and 5* lodges, Holiday Cottages and Estate Houses are all open for Christmas and New Year. Please note that we only take family groups over Christmas and New Year.
We’re a 10 minute drive away from the local ski centre, Nevis Range, which boasts Scotland’s only mountain gondola and numerous ski runs for all levels of ability. Equipment hire and lessons are also available. Find out more here:
There is still plenty of opportunity for walking and mountain biking in the winter although mountain climbing should only be attempted if you have the necessary experience and equipment.
If you’re interested in mountain climbing there are local guides that can kit you out and show you how it's done:
Food & Drink
Our Restaurant & Bar and cafe are closed over the Winter period, but there are a great selection of eateries in and around Fort William.
