Tents

Camp in the midst of spectacular Highland scenery and explore Glen Nevis on the many footpaths that wind through forest and alongside the River Nevis. Alternatively, relax on our park, enjoy the views & fresh mountain air and visit our restaurant to sample traditional Highland hospitality.

Pitches

We have three different types of pitches available to book. All pitches have parking and facilities nearby.

Regular Tent Pitch

A standard camping pitch without electric hookup. Our park is arranged in fields rather than designated pitches so you can choose the perfect pitch. We also have a separate area kept aside for bookings. Book now:

Designated Electric Pitch

Specific numbered pitch with electric hookup (16 Amp).  Note that these pitches are subject to more wear-and-tear than others so we occasionally have to move bookings to our 'Open Field' electric tent pitches.

Open Field Electric Pitch

A more flexible option, allowing you to choose your own electric pitch (16 Amp) from a field with a selection of electric hookups.

Glen Nevis

Our campsite has a fantastic position in the heart of Glen Nevis with a great selection of nearby walks.

Ben Nevis, the River Nevis, Woodland Walks, Steall falls, Highland Wildlife, Mountain Streams, historic sites - all available from your tent.

Climbing Ben Nevis

We are located at the foot of Ben Nevis and are a short walk from the 'tourist path' to the summit. It's a great climb and the views from the top on a clear day are amazing.

However, it's very important that you follow the safety information in the leaflet below and we recommend that you visit the nearby Glen Nevis Visitor Centre for more information on current climbing conditions before you set off.

Testimonials

"...To say it's amazing is an understatement. It is everything and more that is expected from a campsite. It's immaculately clean. The cleaners/workers work extremely hard to keep it spotless. They don't seem to rest! The views are incredible"

-Tripadvisor January 2017

"The campsite was positioned perfectly for you to see people descending Ben Nevis in the night with their head torches which made the mountain look like it was covered in moving stars. The staff were lovely and very welcoming... I highly recommend this campsite to those wanting to be close to Fort William but also close to Ben Nevis."

-Tripadvisor October 2016

"This is the second time we've visited this caravan park, both times off season, so it was reasonably quiet with plenty of choice of pitches. The facilities are very clean and well kept and the views all around the site are stunning when the mist lifts!"

-Tripadvisor October 2016

"A very relaxing site at the foot of Benn Nevis. A lovely pub/restaurant a few yards from the site. May was a good month to visit. The shower block was clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We definitely recommend a visit. Dog friendly with an attached dog walking field."

Midges can be a pest in the mornings and evenings of the summer months. Our shop sells a range of candles, skins solutions and head nets that help if you find them a nuisance.

Caravan & Camping Club

We are recommended by the Caravan & Camping Club, but are not affiliated with them so do not offer reduced rates for members.

Bike Storage

We do not currently have a secure shed or storage space for storing bikes although there are plenty of trees, fences etc that you can chain them to.

Glen Nevis Restaurant & Bar

Within easy walking distance of the campsite, the restaurant offers breakfasts (May-Sept) cakes and snacks, light lunches, afternoon teas, bar meals and evening dinner - all in a very comfortable environment.

Fishing

Our Highland Estate has the fishing rights for the river Nevis and you can buy fishing (catch and release) permits for 1 day (£15), 3 days (£35) or 6 days (£60). The season runs from mid March to the end of September. Enquire at our reception for more details and to buy a permit.

Glen Nevis Estate

Guests are welcome to explore all 1000 acres of the Glen Nevis Estate during their stay!

Natural 'wild' areas have been created in the park to provide a habitat for our native flora and fauna, with pathways and picnic areas so guests can enjoy these areas at their leisure.

Walking in Glen Nevis

For the energetic, the footpath up Ben Nevis (highest mountain in the UK) starts from Glen Nevis. The West Highland Way also passes through Glen Nevis at the end of a 95 mile walk from Glasgow.

The Gorge is a fabulous feature of the Glen and provides a spectacular walk through to the higher falls.

The Lower Falls is easily accessed by foot and is a favourite point in the Glen for photographs. There are also gentler riverside walks and numerous quiet forest walks within the Glen. Reception staff will be happy to suggest a walk for you.

Camp Fires & BBQs

Open fires are not permitted on the park. We do allow small enclosed fires such as chimineas/braziers provide you can find a spot that is at least 5 metres away from any other tents.

BBQs are permitted and our park benches have a heat proof mat for disposable BBQs.
